REPORT PSYCHOSOCIAL HAZARDS IN YOUR STORE

Reporting of psychosocial hazards is important

How to Report Psychosocial Hazards in your store

Psychosocial hazards—such as work overload, understaffing, or customer abuse—must be treated as safety issues and reported in the same way as any other safety hazard. The reporting process can vary between companies, but generally involves the following steps:

1.    Speak to your line manager or store manager.
2.    Put this in writing.

3.    Check in with your manager after reporting to see where things are at.
4.    If your matter is unresolved or not actioned contact the SDA on 131-732 or email us at [email protected].

Remember, workload is a safety issue. And if you need help at any stage in this process the SDA is here to help.

Reporting psychosocial hazards creates a record and helps drive change.

Stress, burnout and abuse from customers is not part of your job.

Below are some specific reporting processes for some companies which may also assist.
