NSW has less public holidays than other states. This is not fair, Sign the NSW government e-petition Now!
NSW has the least public holidays of all the states. This is not fair. Public holidays are important days for communities to pause, for families to gather and for shared time to connect.
Of the public holidays NSW currently gets, 8 of them occur in the first half of the year. That leaves long stretches in the back end of the year without any chance for a break.
Its time for a new public holiday in NSW - Family & community Day! This should be observed in September each year as a time to rest and connect with friends, family and the wider community.
